SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
At Studio G, we want to make dance an enjoyable and encouraging experience for ALL our dancers. While all of our students work incredibly hard all year, a few tend to stand out to instructors, putting in the extra effort to improve their skills, being prompt and polite, and being a true team player in class. We are excited to honor several students yearly with exciting scholarship awards! Recipients are chosen by Studio G staff and honored at our annual recital. BARBARA ROBERTS SCHOLARSHIP
Barbara “Barb” Roberts was the heart and soul of Studio G. Sister to owner/director Val Gaydos, Barb was there from the beginning and always made sure that costumes were in order, the desk ran smoothly and there was a smile on every child’s face. She loved danced and was Studio G’s biggest fan. Barb was a sister, an aunt, a friend and a driving force in making the studio into what it is today.
Barb sadly passed away in 2007; however, her spirit lives on at the studio. Every year at the annual recital, the Studio G staff choose a student or students who embody what Barb brought to the studio: hard work, dedication and a love for dance.
These dancers are awarded the Barbara Roberts Scholarship for the following year, receiving a full year of dance tuition for free. We are proud of the students who have been awarded this scholarship as they have been allowed to grow immensely as dancers and individuals. Barb would be proud of the legacy she left behind to allow others to continue their love for dance.

DANCER OF THE YEAR SCHOLARSHIP
Every year, we choose a Dancer of the Year who stands out to our staff. This dancer demonstrates a desire to learn and grow, and has excellent classroom etiquette while helping fellow students. The Dancer of the Year shows true passion for performing, a terrific work ethic, and a general positive attitude in class and on stage.
Dancers of the Year receive half-priced tuition for one dance year. Our recipients can continue their education and take extra classes to build on these already-amazing skills!

ALYSSA ROCKWELL
KAITLYN KEARNS TUMBLING SCHOLARSHIP
Kaitlyn “Kait” Kearns was an integral part of our studio’s tumbling and gymnastics program whose life unfortunately was cut far too short. Always a vibrant presence in the studio, Kait was an excellence instructor and friend to so many at Studio G and beyond.
We honor Kait’s spirit by choosing a tumbling student to receive free tumbling classes for one dance year. We know Kait is so proud of all the hard work our students put in every day to continue the tradition of tumbling excellence she built at Studio G.
