Barbara “Barb” Roberts was the heart and soul of Studio G. Sister to owner/director Val Gaydos, Barb was there from the beginning and always made sure that costumes were in order, the desk ran smoothly and there was a smile on every child’s face. She loved danced and was Studio G’s biggest fan. Barb was a sister, an aunt, a friend and a driving force in making the studio into what it is today.

Barb sadly passed away in 2007; however, her spirit lives on at the studio. Every year at the annual recital, the Studio G staff choose a student or students who embody what Barb brought to the studio: hard work, dedication and a love for dance. These individuals are awarded the Barbara Roberts Scholarship for the following year, receiving a full year of dance tuition for free. We are proud of the students who have been awarded this scholarship as they have been allowed to grow immensely as dancers and individuals. Barb would be proud of the legacy she left behind to allow others to continue their love for dance.
